I submitted a couple of article to the Guide. How do I know if they are deemed worthy? If they are being ignored? Or if they are in process? Does somebody have to recommend them? Do I recommend them?

Articles are now going through the Peer Review system, and so you go to the Peer Review (http://www.h2g2.com/PeerReview ) page and recommend them in the fora there. Once they have been looked over by the community, recommendations made etc. then they are passed to the SubEds who pretty the article up, and pass it to The Towers Team, where it is eventually put onto the front page, and into the Edited Guide I hope this helps. As a recommendation - at least on your Mushrooms article (which does have good info, and bits and bobs in it - and should eventually make it into the Edited Guide) - It all seems squashed together, which can be off-putting to readers (in the old sytem the SubEds would just tidy it up, put it into GuideML, no more said, but to get recommendations now it must be easy to read for general Researchers) so make sure different paragraphs are seperated well etc. Hope this helps......
