It would appear that this guide requires IE, with cookies,
to function. If so, suggest informing the users, both as
to required browser, and as to need for cookies.

If not, suggest fixing so that it works with at least
netscape.

Feedback process fails, with 'host unreachable'
from netscape.

Sorry to hear that you're having problems using h2g2.

Someone should do something about that "discuss button" thing because it doesn't exist in any browser .

The cookies are necessary for the "Remember me on this computer" thing to work. The cookie is where you are remembered.

We have lots of Netscape-using researchers, including some of the staff. What version and operating system are you using (e.g. Windows 98 Netscape 6 )?

Hi,

It is BBC policy that all areas of the site work in all browsers. Suggestions have been refused because they were brower specific. Therefore everything should work in all browsers. What Feedback do you mean? The Feedback forums work just like any other forums, if you are getting "server unreachable" error, you are probably being timed out (taking more than a minute to get a response), this is probably the fault of you net connection or ISP.

Permanent cookies are used to remember you logon details when you quit the browser, temporary cookies are use during your browser session to stop you having to log on every time you click on a link. You must have temporary cookies enabled (I think that is said somewhere) but you don't need to use permanent ones.
