Boots suggested I wrote a companion piece to A982820. Since one of these days these Boots are gonna walk all over me, I thought it wisest to comply.

Rip it apart - I don't really like it, and I am not entirely sure why.

I nearly took out the final section about stockings alltogether, and left it as a tirade against tights.

Btw - did you read the final version? I added stuff, removed other stuff, and tidied up generally before putting it into AWW.

Nitpick - why aren't stockings just as good for fanbelts? Or jelly straining for that matter.

I liked it but I wouldn't say it was you at your best, Ben. Hard to say if I was influenced by your comments in your opening post however. It wouldn't take much change to make it Edited Guide material. Maybe that's where it doesn't quite work as it might in this forum. Just not quite enough of a rant on tights or a nonsense on stockings? I wasn't sure what flavour you meant this to have. But it's still good.

The opening paragraph of the piece and of the tights section, all of the pop socks section and the opening and closing paragaphs of the stockings section work the best for me. My for what they're worth,

I guess it is because I am not actually that interested in the subject. I don't have great legs, so I don't invest time or money in anything more than straight-forward maintenance. My main assets are in front of me and consequently I have a lot of nice bras, and whenever I buy a top, I consider how much exactly it will conceal or reveal.

Maybe someone who either likes legs or has good legs should do the stockings entry, and I should do one on bras! But to do it justice I would need to do research, and I really don't have the time.
