I read this book during my honeymoon last summer, and loved it. I particularly enjoyed the use of language worked in the penultimate story, where brand names had evolved into a generic term (like hoover for vacuum cleaner has today) - I think there is a proper word for this but can't remember it...

Anyway, I thought it was a great read

Hi again Kelli,

I wasn't meaning to be short yesterday, I was pushed for time.

I keep changing my mind as to which of the six stories I liked best (although I know which I wasn't so keen on). I thought the dialect in story six was going to drive me mad but once you get into it it's actually fun.

I read this book ages ago and what I loved was the fact that each story is told through a different person's eyes. The stories were totally different from each other. The fact that David Mitchell was able to put together this tour de force from that many viewpoints is a testament to his skill.
I also loved the comets...
I read another book by him called 'Ghostwritten' which is as good.
