Chairman's Study: Society of Time Travellers

A person lying on the ground, looking at the stars

You enter a room about 10 foot long and 5 foot wide. The rustic stone walls are uneven, then glass in the one window is over-leaded and looks out onto the night sky. Candles burn in holders on the wall with mirrors behind. On small tables all around are piled books and charts and peieces of paper. A new-looking green leather armchair stands beside an identical but well-worn, battered one. Feet on the desk, a tall man with a mop of long brown hair under a black felt hat is lying slouched in the newer looking chair.

In the far right hand corner of the room, deep in amongst a pile of books as high as a man, a narrow arched doorway. There is a faint blue glow through the keyhole. It is the door you have just entered through and will lead you back to the society. A similar door opens into a huge observatory.
