Snow Haiku
Temperature's down,
Barometer falling also:
Winter's depressing.
Seize the day -
Whoa - ice on the steps! Stars
Bat softly at my skull.
Slush underfoot,
Snow dropping from branches -
Wipe your nose.
Snowflakes are dancing.
Men stamp their feet and swear:
Hot words, cold bodies.
Silent: yesterday's snow -
Softly falling: today's snow -
I may scream: tomorrow's snow
Stupid groundhog:
Spring comes in six weeks.
It will probably snow
Ash Wednesday?
We're cold, we're sick with the flu -
We should starve also?
Shovel snow shovel
Snow more snow shovel shovel more
Snow shovel - enough!
