Going on strike I expect. I didn't know that not all of Ulster actually vote to remain with britain! Makes more sense of the Catholic grievances with regard to the North.Frankly Eire is doing so well in Euro territory they are definitely having the last laugh on us and our despicable carryings on last century,oh! and in the one before that ,and the one before that...ad infinitum.

Yeah, I don't get why Britain didn't go euro. It's not like they're losing their national identity or something... although, since the changeover, prices have gotten ridiculously high in Ireland. There was a helpline which you could use if you caught someone doing that, but I don't think anyone actually used it.

Prices have shot up here, to. Every Euro buys as much as an old Guilder, despite being twice the value.

On the Euro, I think (emphasis on the word think) it was de-valuation of the GBP that worryed most people.

Pity Blair isn't pro-euro, he could get himself stabbed in Marks and Spencer if he was.

Actually, the prices in many Euro countries have remained the same. My family went to Portugal for our holiday last year and we were amazed at how cheap stuff was. Ditto for trips to Belgium and Majorca.
