I'm not too sure about the title but this is the best I could come up with as I have tried to be honest without laying blame. Any criticism will be welcomed and acted upon. Cheers

It's probably better off is Alternative Peer Review, maybe the Underguide, CAC team or ThePost will like it and include it. It probably isn't suited for Peer Review, it is a story, which the editors won't let in, but the Underguide editors might. You should probably send it to AWW

It's not a story it's a factual account, but I'm assuming you mean it's cause it's written in the first person? Moved it over anyway.
Thanks for the advice.

Yes, I suppose a personal narrative would have been a better choice of words. In the AWW, you're likely to see a lot of people from the underguide swarming this, so stay calm

My pleasure. Wish I had no personal account at all though.

Excellent piece of writing, and one which should be out there for everyone to read.
Sorry you had to go through it mate, but it seems like you're the kind of person who learns from their mistakes. There are many others out there who sadly don't

I do think that it's possible to make this a bit better. It might be better if you expand on your message and something more along the lines of cause and effect. It is well written though.

Hi Ackland!
It's often not easy to tell the world about something like this and I think you're brave to do it. Funnily enough, when I got to the bit about you wrapping the car round a lamppost, I was a bit relieved that you hadn't taken anyone else out. My brother was an innocent passenger in a drink/drive accident and was killed by someone who gave him a lift whilst he was waiting for a taxi, so this subject is a live one for me.
I think Jodan is right and that AWW is the better place for it, although there are times when a personal account is OK for the Edited Guide as the Writing-Guidelines tell you.

Yes, iot's important for a story to be relatable, and most people know or have been told of someone involved in such an incident. This shouldn't have a hard time getting wherever you want it.
