Hi there CTA, and welcome to PeerReview.
This entry looks like it has the potential to make it into the Edited Guide (EG), but it will most likely need a bit of work first to get rid of errors and generally help improve the entry. One of the Writing-Guidelines states that you musn't have too much overlap between EG entries, so you should probably have a look at this existing entry - A996979 - to see if there are any overlaps, and also link to that entry from this one. Your entry's section on spin-offs doesn't overlap with anything existing.
One suggestion I'm tempted to make is to simplify the title of the entry to something like "Sega Mega Drive / Sega Genesis - It's History and Spin-Offs"
One last thing - although you've stuck to the style of the guide very well for most of the entry, the "Ta. Hope this was helpful" at the end isn't something you can put in an EG entry. If people like the entry they might post a conversation saying so, and also people commenting in Peer Review will let you know what they think - that's what Peer Review is here for.
Alex

Cheers ! I've changed the title and sorted out the end bit.
Sorry for being a wee bit thick, but how do you add it to the edited guide?
Thanks !

Regarding overlap, it's going over in more detail what the Console Wars Entries tried to compress into (in my opinion) too little space, so that's inevitable and basically boils down to either having a less sketchy version of that part of history or not having one.
On the Entry itself -- informative but very hardware-centric (and not always in a way that gives a clear impression of the hardware capabilities; I'm not saying you shouldn't tell us the Mega Drive was 'the first [console] to feature single instruction 32-bit arithmetic', although the non-s in the audience will probably want to know what that means, but telling us, e.g., how many colours could be displayed on the screen would be a piece of information giving a better feel for what the hardware was actually capable of). Quite few games are named, but we're not told much about the roles they played in the concole's history.

Good entry but have a look at the information on guide ML as you ought to have a go at writing it in the standard guide ml format...

Yep - it's a good idea to learn GuideML as it's preferable to plain text, but if you get overwhelmed then the SubEditor might be able to add the GuideML once the entry is picked. However, this makes extra work for them, so if you can cope with GuideML then please do

The title's still a little unwieldy though. 'Sega Mega Drive and Sega Genesis - the videogame consoles' is better.

I was thinking of taking this on as a Flea Market Rescue (F74125?thread=3310657), however I've noticed that some sections (especially those on the Mega Drive spin offs) seem to be, in a remarkable coincidence, quite identical to Wikipedia. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Variations_of_the_Sega_Mega_Drive) Which is rather a shame as otherwise this had a lot of promise.
Is there an easy way to find out which sections CitizenTomAnderson wrote himself and which are potentially plagiarised?
