Threads should work with the HREF option.

And with the H2G2 option!

It all depends on how you want them to show up (if at all) on the right hand side, as far as I remember from testing it months ago. In theory you could use BIO and have threads as researchers but I didn't test that.

URLs from itemlists don't show up in the references, so you can just as well use the clinics recommendation which is H2G2.

I like T much better than F for specifying threads even though Jim isn't very happy about it. The reason is not just that it is shorter but that it is portable - and the staff *do* move threads around.

Oops, that's twice I've posted now without saying what I originally intended to say: that some threads need not be on h2g2 at all - hence my slight preference for HREF. DNAID is used instead of H2G2 in some places.

Well, I haven't tested it, but isn't H2G2 and DNAID meant to do exactly the same and both work?

It's just a purist thing, ie not claiming that something is on h2g2 when it is actually on another dna site. I wouldn't expect most people to care about that sort of detail.
