Very, very good, but of course as a Western Canadian and more importantly Vancouver Islander I must point a few things out. (You can all ways tell an Islander, but not much)
You forgot the coastal communities of the Gulf Islands, Charlottes, and the massive land of Vancouver Island. Did you know one of the negotiated deals of Confederation was a working rail line on the island, which still (barely) runs today? Or that Victoria was chosen as the provincial capital over New Westminster so that the US wouldn't take the lower quarter of the island?
Also did you know that the interior of BC has some of the most feted wineries in the world? Or that the southern interior has a desert complete with rattlesnakes and cacti?
And what about the War of 1812? We burnt the White House partially down which is why it is painted white! Only war the US lost if you count Vietnam as a *draw*!
And the maritimes are more than Newfie jokes! Most Brits would feel right at home at a pub in Halifax.
Otherwise (don't you just hate it when people say that...) you do very, very good work and I wish I knew how to post an ML shortcut to this excellent piece in my space.

Now y'see, you're gonna have to go and paste that all in Peer Review in order for anyone to take any notice.
*shakes head*
Some researchers. They don't know how to read the rules...

Oh, I got all excited- now I'll go post.
Rules? Rules?? A pyromaniac Satan-worshiping teenager is telling me to obey rules?
Excellent!

Back on topic, yes this is a good article. Informative, well researched, and funny.
There, that's my good deed for the day, can I go home now?
Key: Complain about this post
Excellent!
