This is a good start for a first submission. Here are a few pointers to take you further on your way:
1) Whenever you abbreviate something, make sure you define what it stands for the first time -- there are most likely people on h2g2 who wouldn't know what NYC stood for.
2) The Edited Guide has a series of entries on "Driving Etiquette" in different parts of the world. Looking at some of those might give you some ideas on how to structure your entry, and also for some additional tidbits worth including. You might try:
