Hi jimcracker7

I'd love to put more sites up, however I've only put the ones up that will work even with the firewall in place.

If you know of anymore that will work, feel free to leave your suggestions here and I'll put them up.

TeleWest have been trying out the TVInternet since early January, Customer Servicesonly find out about things that they've been briefed on.

This is another site I've found to work, why not give that a shot?

no luck with the yoomedia one

this is how i get on here,it might not show but here goes.

if it does you might have a different way of making up clickons for cable.

(THEN THE SITE NAME)
IN BETWEEN THE WWW AND UK WOULD BE THE SITE I.E.YOOMEDIA.
FINGERS CROSSED,HERE GOES JIM.

Err. sorry the addy was wrong:
http://www.yoomedia.com/aboutus.asp

That should work fine.
The reasons other sites don't work is because TW have a firewall in place(nothing to do with links)... the firewall was down before Christmas, while yoome2 was installed.

This hyperlink would open the hyperlink to fullscreen rather than in the email field:

That's the link all us digibox users use to access BBC sitessmiley - biggrin

If you find more please feel free to post themsmiley - ok

Don't know why this appear on my conversations smiley - huh. Hi anyway!

kow is right, you need the
TARGET="_blank" "_new" may apear to work but it don't, not always.

Also you may need a slash / before the closing "

ie.

h2g2

I have taken to include dna in the e-mail link I use...

h2g2

kow, "still" work's with "/dna/" in the URL?

If you do NOT include it, and try to specify the plain skin, as part of the e-mail anchor on a Digibox, you may suffer a TWsmiley - steam 404.

However, include "/dna/" and you can...

h2g2-plain

Hi JABsmiley - disco

Why would you want to specify plain skin?
I just use:
http://www.bbc.co.uk/h2g2
You used to be able to add your U number to the end(with dna in) but TW disabled it a while back, I didn't know it had started working againsmiley - cheers

Yep you can put ".../plain/Unnnnnn" and go to your own space. Ideal for the lurker smiley - biggrin

You will then have the option to login .

If you put "/plain/U" wothout a number, you goto user 0.

Hmm thing's working that had stopped hmm smiley - grr may be down smiley - run

Jab [Since 29th November 2002]

Why would I wish to specify "/plain/"

The first had a look at h2g2, it was over the sholder of another user, lurk, lurk smiley - biggrin

When I did have a go, it was all 'goo' to me smiley - smiley Nice, fine, fab, on a PC, but on an STB eak. So I did not bother for a while, what with 'over style' and the memory>PACE smiley - grr thing.

The plain skin, has been a great boost. Possibly the skin's are still making it difficult for some people, I have spoken with. Remember LD, it was well defined, clear to follow, and easy to learn. Strange how yoomePOO is the exact opposite smiley - erm

So if new users get to see the palin skin from the off, without getting into setting prefrences, it may help.

Off to the bar for a bit... A bit of what I dunno smiley - tongueout
