breaking the house rules.... /:o(
Loup Dargent Posted Feb 16, 2003
hi researcher 216421...
thanks for spoiling our fun... and breaking a few house rules at the same time...
my advice is that if you don't have anything nice to say please refrain from posting... flamers and trolls are frowned upon on h2g2...
i was going to say welcome to h2g2 but on second thought, naaaaah i won't bother; that would make me an hypocrite as, after seeing your incredibly childish handywork, i would certainly not mean it...

We'll be keeping a very close eye on that particular Researcher from now on - best thing is to ignore trolls, but in this case we also have to yikes them. Let's hope that normal service has been resumed

gosho:
this troll has usually confined his activities to one researcher's space... actually he might have got to this thread that way as it's on his usual victim's page...
anyway thanks again...
have a drink on us...
the offer is also open to the other researcher who unfortunately had to witness the troll's behaviour...
talk soon....

justMe: it's the hidden postings are not from any of us just from a troll with a very limited vocabulary....
he even used the subject box to fill it with his profanities [i had to re-write it... i _do_ hate messy people...]... but thanks to another researcher and gosho we won't have to be subject to the troll's twarted sense of humour...
i have to go offline now...
talk soon...

Oh i realised what had happened!..i just wondered what the fecking hell he/she/it had said that was offensive enough to get yikes'd in here!(id say its pretty hard to do!)..mustve been REALLy bad!
But then everyone else is (usually) just having a laugh n is no harm meant.Dont understand people who go on things like this just to be nasty or cause trouble.

justMe: i think [i hope i'm right] U219380 is with the situation as the response to the troll's offensive behaviour was dealt with very swiftly... thanks to gosho who made sure that the profanities were going to be hidden... [ gosho]
i will pop in to researcher U219380 space later on to thank them as well...
as for the hidden postings, well i won't repeat them but it started with an insult and then was followed with postings full of two or three unacceptable words [i did say that troll had a very limited vocabulary] repeated all over again... and while these words would have only been starred out in a normal conversation, in that context it was obvious that it was done with malicious intentions...
and of course doing the same in the thread subject shows how low that troll's level is...
i might not be very charitable towards the troll but he already has been warned about the fact that such behaviour is not allowed on here... he obviously hasn't got the message... considering that since he registered, his only contribution to the site has been to post offensive messages, i would say that he definitely hasn't understood what h2g2 is about either...
that's more or less the story so far... one moron spoiling it for everyone else...
i don't usually use the word "moron" when referring to another researcher but, in this case, i don't think that the troll will ever be a proper researcher...
and of course he made the big mistake of posting his filth on one of the LDers projects' threads... not a good idea at all as from now on i will watch his space very closely... people who contribute to our threads should never be subjected to such behaviour... the bar is a place where we can relax and let our hair down... not a place for trolls... especially when those trolls are not even funny...
mmmmmmmm.... hopefully he's got the message now....
after that important rant, i'm gonna need loads of ...
talk soon....

Surely it would save the lazy feckers even more time to just pass the plain link to everyone?? or maye that would just be too simple!
