A Conversation for 'Stigmata' - The Film

As anyone who receives my emails knows...I have no concept of correct use of apostrophes. No matter how many times I read through the Guide Entry on them, I just can't perfect it...

Bah. Directors cut...will get around to it at some point. Why do I seem to take forever on articles, when everyone else writes them in a day?

apostrophes are easy - possives and contractions, unless it's 'its' in which case only if it's a contration. That's it.

I was chiving you along due my picks being due this week smiley - whistle

Us Scouts get to pick three entries a month from peer review, to send to the editors to approve for entry into the EG. Mine are due this week.

Oh b*****ks. I'll do it tomorrow then. But I'm only adding a bit about the Directors cut. Nothing else. I can't deal with any more. This article turned out to be moderately worse than I aimed it to be...smiley - erm

You're a real perfectionist then! it's really well written, I re read one of my articles when it was at the subbing change and ended up asking them to make loads of changes to spelling and my use of English!

Yeh, I'm obsessive about things like this. Except for when I've just got up/going to bed, and then I'm just smiley - bigeyessmiley - silly...

I can never see them when I write the entry myself and I have to have a spell of time away from it before I notice all the typos and stuff.

An interesting entry. You seem to assume that the reader already knows what 'stigmata' are. Perhaps you could explain briefly what these marks are supposed to be.

I believe I did - might need to go and rephrase something then if it wasn't clear...

Oi. You know, I'm on limited memory and I can't fit in the thing about the directors cut without losing half of the old stuff when I click *Preview*...smiley - wah It's not *that* necessary is it??

HI all,

A Scout has recommended this entry for the Edited Guide, but before I accept it I just thought I'd check it's ready. Are you okay for this to go ahead, or do you need more time?

Let me know here either way smiley - smiley

I'm smiley - ok for it to go in. It's just the debate about the Directors cut that is putting a see-saw type atmostphere on this one. Which is only included as a special feature on the DVD (which I haven't seen) anyway.

So unless anyone wants to quibble some more...go ahead! smiley - smiley

Why not just add a footnote explaining that there is an alternative ending in existence that can be seen on the DVD release and leave it at that? You don't have to say what the differences are - if people want to know they can either ask you in a Conversation under the Edited Entry, or they could - smiley - yikes - watch the DVD smiley - smiley
