Good points, people in the past can't come back and complain to you once you are far enough into the future (and they are dead).
Judging from the questions I recently got at work, I am getting dangerously close being old people myself. I hear myself saying: 'I've seen something happening just like that 16 years ago' (memory can be very helpful if you have it).
