Those are called a Spreeuw in Dutch, not to be confused with a Sparrow, which is a Mus. (it took me some time to find out).

They can make nice patters when flying in their large formations / clouds.

smiley - ok Yeah, they do. It's called a 'murmuration' in English, and it's cool.

The reason you get starlings-inna-tree videos from us is that we live in the hills. By the time the Hoggetts or I see the flocks coming and can get a camera, the birds are mobbing the trees. (We lack large horizons.)
