Looking at the last night's election results around here, we have a long way to go...
I see opportunities to break the record for cabinet formation. (Dutch record is 299 days. The world record is 541 days held by Belgium).
It probably won't help that the Senate/Upper house that was voted in earlier this year has an entirely different distribution with regard to the parties involved. This means that any legislation passed through the lower house is likely to be shot down in the upper house. (This could be a good thing. anything too extreme would be filtered out. It could also mean no problems will be solved for the next 3.5 years.)

Right-leaning newspapers tend to despise what they call left hobby projects. Maybe we should remind them that those hobbies resulted in pensions, unions, general healthcare, welfare, compulsory education and a ban on child labour. Among other things.
