Caiman raptor elk - Inside big box, thinking.

That's what it is called in Dutch. (is it noisy?)

Very interesting!

I would have expected Witborstje, because a robin is called Roodborstje around here.

Fast reading nearly led me to believe that the bird was related to the Angolan Cave Cat, but that would have required a major taxonomical overhaul, so I read it again instead to notic the extra h.

Hello! Thanks for the comments! In Afrikaans we call it 'Witkeeljanfrederik'. 'Janfrederik' is the general name for robin-like things here! One of them is called the 'Lawaaimakerjanfrederik' - and it is related to this one, but not very closely. As is, actually, the Angolan Cave Chat! So - the 'Lawaaimakerjanfrederik' today is Cossypha dichroa; its English name is Chorister Robin. It calls loudly but very melodiously actually. As does the Witkeeljanfrederik! The Angolan Cave Chat is in the genus Xenocopsychus - but, like the White-throated Robin-Chat, used to be in the genus Cossypha. So both of them have been recent removals from the genus. They're still fairly closely related, in the subfamily Erithacinae (the Robin subfamily) of the Musicapidae, the Flycatcher family. It's a huge family!

As for the Angolan Cave *cat*, that would be a new species, I haven't heard of it yet?
