It certainly looks like the right colour! The site says 'restricted to mainly western parts of Scotland.' The photo was taken in northeast Scotland - maybe the territory's expanding?

Good point! As my biology lab supervisor said when we complained about the hydra, 'They're biological organisms. They don't read the book'
