Ghosts that are family aren't as bad as some of the others (depending on your family of course.
Nice story. I can relate to the fussing daughter, trying to prevent 'accidents'

My mom and my dad came from two different regions with somewhat different outlooks (and very different histories). In fact, there are three dialects in the state of Tennessee - he had the one to the east, and she had the one to the west, and nobody had the one in the middle.
My grandparents adored my mother. She was a little wary of local conditions at times, but far too diplomatic to come out and say so.
