I try to fill all the outstanding plot holes eventually - but sometimes it takes a while.
Or would I be better off letting unresolved plot points be forgotten if they've been left open for so long that no-one else remembers them by the time I've worked how to seal 'em?

It is a good test to see if people have been paying attention / following your soap operetta at all. (I must admit that I do not always comment even if I read it).
For my Novella, I am currently collecting all the open ends to see how many I can close within the last three as yet unwritten chapters.
