Shame to know that despite the time elapsed since then, humanity still hasn't figured out how to make the world work.

Well, the way I see it, you can say a new thing or a true thing, and I'd rather say a true thing. There is absolutely no evidence that humanity has advanced appreciably in the last 12,000 years or so. They have merely invented the meme, which is currently worshipped as the pinnacle of creative achievement.

Also, the deeper I've gotten into this thing, the more impressed I am with Mesopotamian folklore. Yes, I know it makes up most of Genesis but I really wish they'd included more of it. It is astounding stuff.

While working on next week's episode, I stumbled over a delightful epic that explained the origin of information technology. Of course it did. Also a god with a very, very funny name.

I'll just have to wait and see then...

Sometimes memes are the only way to attract the attention of my adolescents.

I've seen people on Twitter ask, 'Can somebody explain the meme to me?'

One specific meme or the concept of 'meme'?
(the last one could have been me two years ago. Before that it was just a graphic joke to me.)

I find myself doing quick research, carefully, in incognito windows.
