Thank you for this.

I've not been bored this year, but have needed to find better things to do than obsessing over statistics. I have found new joy in painting as well as crafts so I am pleased with that smiley - zen

Good point about reading. Reminds me of a book I twice read - the first time I devoured it for the plot, as I was so eager to find out what happened next, and the second reading allowed me to enjoy the language as well as the details of the story. And even with Guide Entries, Peer Review helps, but I can still find areas for improvement a few days later if I re-read what I have written smiley - ok

Good idea about visualisation - I did a bit of that a few years ago, but haven't in a while even though it is also good for calming the mind smiley - zen

smiley - smiley And thanks for sharing your paintings with us in the Post!

I've always done so much visualisation, all my life (as a kid I felt guilty about it because I thought somebody might call it a 'bad habit'), that I took it for granted.

Until one day, I was teaching a class in 'the Great Books'. Wordsworth's 'Tintern Abbey' was on the syllabus. And I found myself with a room full of college students, talking them through a visualisation...and seeing how happy it made them. smiley - winkeye

smiley - biggrin

Excellent point that reading is guided visualisation, and visualisation helps with reading smiley - ok I guess not everybody has that sort of 'mind's eye', as not everybody has an 'inner monologue', but if you can visualise, it is pleasing indeed smiley - biggrin
