What an intriguing story. Who is this Phan and how can he move through time and create portals in reality? The possibilities are almost endless.

What would happen if the 19th century scientists had tried to build some of the 21st century items? Wouldn't that change history?
Where did the soldiers and the war correspondents go when they went through that portal? Did they fight a war in another country or time?

And why that quote from the Bible? What language is it anyway? Yiddish? You even got me looking up the English 'Let his days be few; and let another take his office.'

I'm perplexed.
