As several Euro countries got rid of using the one and two cent coinage, customers also have to keep track. Digital payments are exact to the cent, while cash is rounded to the nearest five cents. So in principle, you could choose your mode of payment according to what is the lowest amount.

That's interesting! Sometimes these very small coins don't make a lot of sense, as they cost more than they're worth to maintain. 
I'm glad the Europeans have their euro, but I do miss all the funny coinages...
