I can relate to that in a roundabout way. I am not wheelchair bound but used to cart my twins around in a cycle car that could also be used as a stroller, with a width that just passed within the regulations for "accessibility". Many an accessible checkout queue still bears the marks of me passing through. Afterwards, I always had to check the wheels, because the wheel release buttons on the hubs got pressed in the process on a regular basis.

The cycle car sounds fascinating! Yes, accessibility helps people with double buggies etc as well as people in wheelchairs smiley - ok

Quick release wheels are very handy indeed - I have them, too - but yes we do have to be careful to make sure they are OK if the wheels get knocked...

(PS "wheelchair bound" is an outdated term, as it gives the impression that people are restricted by a wheelchair - a wheelchair is liberating for someone who otherwise wouldn't be able to get around smiley - magic I say "wheelchair user" or "in a wheelchair")
