A Conversation for Writing Right with Dmitri: Watching People Think
Hypothetical

I am lucky to have a job that requires abstract and hypothetical thinking, as it makes use of the skills I developed during my education. This is a useful perspective, though - when I need to convey my ideas to other people I attempt to find a common starting point by putting myself 'in the other people's shoes' but often struggle even so. A factor I hadn't taken into account would be the potential for 'concrete' thinking so I will try to do better next time.
I enjoyed reading Cadfael a few years ago - he is a very likeable character, and I think I appreciated the thinking without really thinking about it!
