Just found out that Leon Redbone passed away recently ... he was only 69 but a wonderfully old soul.

Denise Nickerson, 62. Not a well-known actress by any means but she played the very memorable Violet Beauregarde in the original Willy Wonka. Just read her bio on Wiki, how very sad. A child actress, she found out as an adult that her parents had spent her earnings. Hit by a car at age 19, she was incapacitated for 8 months. She gave up acting aged 21. First husband died of a brain haemorrhage, 2nd marriage produced a son but ended in divorce. Her son and his wife cared for her after a stroke last year, but this month she overdosed on her meds. RIP Denise
