I like watching oystercatchers.
They are distinctive with their black and white plumage and red legs, and it's striking how the flock wheels like a single body.

Yes, they're certainly nice to look at and very entertaining to watch but they're one of the most irritating birds to listen to especially when you're wanting to enjoy your seaside fish and chips in peace and quiet

I need to see more of Oystercatchers - I couldn't hear them on the day I took that photo because the wind was vicious, and I didn't see them flying either. I hadn't seen such a big group of them before
