This reminds me of multiple occasions where I saw signs warning of forest operations upon leaving the forest, having first crossed the dangerous area without warnings from the other side. (first had to look up "abattage des arbres" -> Tree felling in progress)
Maybe you have to be a psychic to get warnings from the other side?
I don't remember any UFO's being involved.
