A Conversation for Writing Right with Dmitri: Where Stories Come From

Satire

If I was any good at satire, which I'm not, I'd tell the story of our local shopping centre. The tale of a local council which wanted to put their town on the map, a developer which wanted to knock down the shopping centre and rebuild it, a crowd of disappointed residents, many of them elderly, who deplored the loss of a community hall. And the force of history, which suggests that shopping centres up and down the country are in trouble anyway. smiley - winkeye
