I'm enjoying reading Eminent Victorians so far smiley - biggrin

The biographies are not quite in h2g2 House Style, being around 8,000 words each to make up the size of a full book, so I have read more about certain aspects of religious politics than I really wanted to. However, in general Strachey has done as he said he would, picking out the interesting specimens from the people's lives, and he even includes links from one entry to another, which does fit in with h2g2's style smiley - ok

Lovely to see the image of Florence Nightingale from the book on this Entry smiley - biggrin

smiley - smiley I'm glad you're enjoying Strachey. I couldn't find his picture, so I settled for Miss Nightingale.

Next week's Post will feature another 'should have been' Researcher, Kate Douglas Wiggins. I'm suspecting you might enjoy her novels.

There's one we *don't* want coming up in September. smiley - winkeye
