By experimenting on humans I know, I have discovered that like reading, their patience for watching things has shrunk due to modern media...one woman said about a video, 'That's 4 minutes, kind of long....can I fast forward?'

I've experimentally determined that captions increased their tolerance for video length - and got them to notice features they otherwise overlooked.

That is interesting - I must admit I have more tolerance for reading than for watching videos, as I can read faster, so the visuals have to make it worth my while... Your videos are worth it though - I enjoy the music you play, and they are great antics of the kitties!

I did a social media course the other month, and one suggestion was that Facebook was likely to become all video at some point in the future, so I groaned at that and I'm glad I'm not the only one who would. In the meantime text with images is alive and well, thankfully, to provide more of a variety along with videos.

There will always be something to read, in one language or another.
