Caiman raptor elk - Inside big box, thinking.

Tight parking on the visible side on the photo.
That reminds me of a recent issue I had with my satnav in Italy. It tried to send me through an alley that got narrower and narrower.... and narrower, until my rearview mirrors folded in due to contact with the walls. Being on holiday, my rear window was hidden behind our luggage. As the doors wouldn't open, I had to reverse and hope, hope hope that I wouldn't hit anything. At a slight increase in width, my wife was able to get out and guide me back the rest of the way.

I checked later on and the car was officially 2 centimeters too wide for the passage (even with the mirors folded in)

(Check "6 Via Dossetto, Ceniga, Trente, Italy" on streetview to get an idea of how narrow it was. I got to the arch at the green house, so further than the Google car)

I must say this happened very close to our destination after a long day's drive, otherwise I would probably have turned back much earlier.

Wow... Not bad if the satnav was on a moped, but you could have done with a bit more information in that car...

I presume they serve Pan Galactic Gargle Blasters in the Betelgeuse Bar smiley - biggrinsmiley - pggb

I wonder how many people know exactly how wide their car is (without looking in the manual first). I do now.

Galaxy Babe - eclectic editor

It was actually parked inside an indoor market, we were passing and I spotted the back of the van. We were in Leeds, Yorkshire, but it was the number plate that fascinated me, "EE" was local for Grimsby and Cleethorpes, Lincolnshire, where I was born. I snapped it for its advertising banner as my older three kids just loved Beetlejuice the movie, and used to dare each other to say the name three times smiley - laugh

I was wondering whether the registration said anything about the engine: V48, 8 valves / V4, 88 valves. But no, there is a boxer engine in that.
