Sadly Nickleback was one of the two I got!
Memories....we saw them years ago in Mamchester (pre chart success) and a few tours back in Liverpool, what a great band 'live', really good gig, but it did confuse the hell out of the (probably 50%) of the audience who'd heard Rockstar and Hero and thought they were off to a pop concert!
Ok I'm now out of the stickleback closet!

Band and wagon!
I think a lot of UK rock fans switched off when they promoted a sofa company ad over here, not very hard rock, but lucrative!
Didn't harm Free doing Wrigleys or Lonestar doing Ford!
people also see them as middle of the road, all sound the same, formula playing stereotypes, but that never harmed Status Quo!
As Abba were a guilty pleasure, sadly so now are Chad and the boys.
Just not cool enough! (AC/DC and Black Sabbath doing Marvel flicks is?)
People are sheep. Like what you like and don't let others sway your opinion.
Hundreds of pre-teen girls screeching along to Rockstar was a bit naff though!

Ah, thanks for the explanation! I could never get the hang of this 'fan' business, either.
Are you aware of the existence of the improbably- but accurately-named Insane Clown Posse? In one of life's mysteries, their fans have been classified as a 'gang' by the FBI, much to their disgust. Oh dear. Alice Cooper meets Slipknot meets Eminem....awful stuff!
And I am sure there's a very confusing lyric on the second screen...probably just poor punctuation!
