smiley - rolleyes and smiley - groan

Makes my eyes hurt, that.

I have to force myself not to correct people's grammar, punctuation and general incorrect use of language - Ian's granddaughter regularly types "his" instead of "he is" - smiley - grr

I have been called a "grammar Nazi" by some smiley - cryso I don't do it any more smiley - run

That is rough that people can't understand your Editor instincts smiley - hug

I don't mind a solecism every now and then (eg infinitives can be split for dramatic effect) and it is true that language evolves, but grammar is important overall to enable information to be conveyed accurately...

'His' instead of 'He is' could be confusing indeed, eg 'his cold'... The bit in this Entry that really stands out to me is "human villagers shot in India " - totally different meaning from what I think the author intended... smiley - yikes

Caiman raptor elk - Inside big box, thinking.

My son talks like that, especially when the subject is Minecraft.(which is 99% of the time). He also regularly repeats the last syllable in mid-sentence while his brain is catching up with his mouth. As a result, my ears go into brain protection mode after a few seconds. This is fine, because he usually doesn't expect me to listen anyway.
