Two Little Dicky Birds

Two birdies sharing a fencepost in autumn.

These two birds decorated a nearby fencepost one autumn day. They're still around. The migratory birds have flown south for the season, but the locals still show up every day, cadging for sunflower seeds and suet, and reminding us noisily to refill the feeder. They're welcome panhandlers.

As Anonymous has it:

Two little dicky birds sitting on a wall,

One named Peter, one named Paul.

Fly away Peter, fly away Paul,

Come back Peter, come back Paul!
