I went to see Spies in Disguise today - very interesting.
Some common tropes, eg that one of the bad guys was disabled, but then there was a disabled sidekick too. Parents died, as per Disney, but friendship was celebrated. It passed the Bechdel Test. Birds’ feathers looked more like fur, but other textures like water, metal and glass were well depicted. The body language of the humans was very recognisable even though their body shapes were somewhat distorted.
Overall I enjoyed it - very amusing

I've not seen it yet, although it did only come out on the Feast of Stephen. Hopefully we'll see it soon, though.

I forgot to mention I also liked how one of the heroes used behaviour management techniques to help him avoid “toxic masculinity” and how there were homo-romantic elements so it was definitely not just a cartoon version of eg James Bond

I had a look to see when it was on over the weekend, but it only had one showing on Saturday which clashed with nammettime.
