I had a read through and looked at: http://thelandtrust.org.uk/space/port-sunlight-river-park/
So, no Parkrun, alas (the closest seems to be Princes as the crow flies across the Mersey, but Birkenhead is the nearest), but it is bicycle friendly, which is good. The website mentions RAMSAR a lot - what is that?

I'm a great believer in short entries if there is not much to say about the subject.
Your first link should be LINK HREF rather than LINK H2G2 since it is an external link.

Thanks both
I've added in a bit more about wildlife protection, and put HREF links in too (my fingers type H2G2 after LINK in automatic pilot )

Was there any sort of control over what sort of waste was allowed in the landfill? I had at first assumed that it would have been only biodegradable material, but then you mentioned that they couldn't guarantee lumps of metal sticking out the paths, so does it mean that there are all sorts of junk under the park - old fridge freezers, Virgin cola bottles, used nappies etc…?

Your Guide Entry has just been picked from Peer Review by one of our Scouts, and is now heading off into the Editorial Process, which ends with publication in the Edited Guide. We've moved this Review Conversation out of Peer Review and to the entry itself.
If you'd like to know what happens now, check out the page on 'What Happens after your Entry has been Recommended?' at EditedGuide-Process. We hope this explains everything.
Thanks for contributing to the Edited Guide!

Thanks everyone
Sorry I didn't reply, <BB< - no, there was no control apart from the usual rules, so I don't think there would have been any fridge freezers in there because of them needing to be disposed of in specific ways, but yes cola bottles, nappies, random chunks of unspecified metal are all in there...
