Just a few little points:

each of the three Avengers represented a coloured lion
-- I think you mean "each of the three Avengers was represented by a coloured lion"

Neilsen-Ferns --> Nielsen-Ferns

while the last four episodes, The New Avengers in Canada, made the other side of the world without their control -- this is missing a verb. I think it should be "were made on the other side..."

Heavily re-written to be almost unrecognisable, -- as stated here this means they intended it to be almost unrecognisable. Did you mean "So heavily re-written as to be almost unrecognisable" ?

Each episode would start with a dramatic pre-credits sequence -- putting "would" in this makes it sound like a description of the potential episodes described in the previous paragraph. I think you are describing the actual episodes, so change this to "Each episode started..."

I enjoyed reading this, as they haven't yet got around to repeating these episodes on Freeview so I learned a lot

"Joanna Lumley is nowadays usually associated with Absolutely Fabulous3,"

I think this needs tweaking a bit, as Joanna Lumley has done a lot since then, as you say in Footnote 3 - maybe something like "JL is perhaps most well known for her role in ?sitcom Absolutely Fabulous..."

"His very 70s flat" - I'm not sure what this means...

Who did Purdey's motorbike stunts? Cyd?

"For the first few episodes of the first series" - I think that should be "block" instead of "series"

I'm afraid the stunt driver who did Purdey's motorcycle stunts is uncredited in the episodes she drives in – possibly to encourage people to think that it was really Joanna Lumley.
It looks like it was a male driver, but beneath the thick leather jacket and helmet used to conceal the fact that it isn't Joanna Lumley, I can't say for certain. (I can say that she drove both a yellow and black Honda registration LLC 950P and a red Honda OLR 471P; the British Leyland deal did not cover motorcycles).
