Logan's Run

You make this film seem like a reversed version of Logan's Run (the movie not the book). That starts of in a chromium world of ray guns, zoomie train capsules in perspex tubes and other technological marvels etc and, again, it is not until the third act that our super talented hero's break out into the secret, real world.
Unfortunately in Logan's Run, the third act runs on and on and on.
The book was much better but unfilmable as written (indeed, probably it would be unpublishable today).

Doesn't quite play out that way in the movie (Tomorrowland, I mean). Also, Logan's Run was still a fairly dystopian movie whereas this one is a plea for utopianism. Sort of.

"The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy is a wholly remarkable book. It has been compiled and recompiled many times and under many different editorships. It contains contributions from countless numbers of travellers and researchers."
