We all hate the dreaded 'Captcha'
I saw some place that a list of 'safe researchers' could be submitted to prevent this.
It occurs to me that anyone who has worked hard enough to put a half dozen or so Entries into the Edited Guide should be placed on such a list.
The only down-side might be us not knowing the hassles new researchers have to face.

I don't mind having to provide a Captcha code, but even after providing it a bug in Captcha prevents my changes from being saved.

They appear to have made a change to the CloudFlare Captcha system. It's still asking me for Captcha codes, but it now accepts the code and saves the changes rather than discarding them.
