This is my entry for Create's March theme.
For sources (apart from personal experience) I have used the Seven Sisters Country Park website and that of the National Trust, a guide book 'The South Downs Way' and the two maps mentioned.

A very enjoyable read – I'll read through in more detail later.
You might want to mention that the South Downs Way is one of the UK's 15 National Trails. Stretching from Winchester to Eastbourne, it is the only National Trail that is almost exclusively in a National Park and is shared between cyclists, pedestrians and horse-riders (although the cyclist route, currently Regional Trail 88, diverts inland as you say rather than along the clifftop near the Seven Sisters).

BB, I've added the piece you provided about the alternative cycle path. I would have added you as a fellow researcher, but got it wrong!
I've also added quite a few links.

Did you know that if you ever want to credit someone in an article but without giving them full 'Written And Researched By' status, then you can add this between the and tags at the bottom of your entry?:

Although this doesn't necessarily show in all skins.
(And this isn't a hint either, just letting you know should you wish to do that in the future.)
The new links are looking good.

Thanks Bob. I've done these walks many times, but I was a bit hazy about some of the turning points, so I checked them against guide books and maps.
You can't get lost on the cliff walk and, inland, if you did take a wrong turning, you'd soon find a village, a road or a waymark that would set you right.

This is interesting. I didn't know about these hills, and thought from the title we were going to be spacewalking the Pleiades...
And Mags made fun of me.

And I was quite ashamed that I didn't know the story of Mad Jack Fuller and Belle Tout, which you wrote about!

Thanks!
But guess what. My only photos of the Seven Sisters aren't up to much. Perhaps I need to go there and get some better ones.
