Searched for 'selfie'

... found this. Thanks for the enlightenment, and sorry I was so tardy passing by. I daren't tell you how I look on my old school photos. My mother cut my fringe, smiley - yikes a hairdresser she is not.

I'm looking for how to write 'selfie' - my spell-checker dislikes it, underlining it in red. The sentence: >>Some people, including actor Hugh Jackman, have uploaded selfies with a penguin, but such a quest on Goudier Island should be approached with the appropriate care and extreme caution.<< Quotes or not?

And no EGE to link to. So I've linked to A87846664 - I don't see why not?smiley - biggrin

I don't think you need quotes for selfie these days - it's such a ubiquitous word on social media.

My greatniece was delighted to receive a selfie stick for Christmas. (It lets you get a better picture of a teenager's favourite subject.) And people are discussing the dangers of selfies everywhere - the ones with bears, the ones hanging off high buildings, etc...

And, of course, next week's Post will feature a Gheorgheniplex cartoon based on Curiosity's selfie from Mars - and that's what NASA called the photo, too. smiley - smiley

Thanks for the promotion of this, the earliest selfie. smiley - winkeye

Left you a note over in PR - I didn't notice who had done the Antarctica entry at first, should have known. smiley - laugh

I remember that film, it wasn't half bad. But the series was so much better, wasn't it? Uncle Martin was so wise...and I loved their landlady and her brownies...

I'm hoping to get back to some guide entries soon, but my client's behind schedule as always this time of year, so it will be at least another week before I'm finished writing about government. smiley - rolleyes
