Another Tolkien entry. I think I've covered most of the major characters now except for the Hobbits themselves.

Since this has been in Peer Review for 5 months without any comments, I can tell it is not wanted. I'm withdrawing it and my other contributions.

I just have to accept it; the site I supported for 15 years is dead.

Its very slow mate but don't give up it is a very good entry I am just sitting tight waiting for Godot.

We are all awaiting notice give it time as for our entry I could find no fault perhaps I should have commented sorry

I have 7 entries that have been in PR since Feb and March this year it looks like we have to just take a ticket and wait. Asking for comments helps remind folks that they are there.

I have 7 make, that 11 more in progress awaiting room in the queue no point in getting ready until there is more activity in PR

Thanks for your optimism, bob, but mine has finally run out.

So what can we do about speeding up the PR process its a 6 month process.

The eds can do the final grammar we need a panel of reliable reviewers to boost the get things going, it seems that everyone is leaving it to someone else to do the reviewing and its not working well enough. The wiki system at least gets results.

We need badge holding Volunteer reviewers (assisted by the community and available to the authors for progress reports and be able to keep the authors on task) to do the reviewing, with some status to take charge of an entry in an open forum and prepare it for the Eds and put it in for final edit.

This site is judged by what it produces, or it is simply a chat forum for the members of society who want intelligent conversation.
