Fortunately I had a bacon and watercress salad for dinner yesterday.
I don't think I'll be doing that one again, but will definitely try a different bike ride next year. Maybe the London to Reading bike ride, which I hope will be quieter. As I've cycled from here to Reading, and from London to Brighton, it would join the dots so I'd effectively have cycled from Brighton to here via London and Reading. Only 40 miles, which is a step down, but some of those miles would be in London where traffic probably won't move. The London to Bath is tempting – that's 100 miles, but would only be doable if traffic moves. The main problems are getting to London and getting out of London.
We'll see.
