I got full marks on this! And I still wear short trousers. Anyways for anyone not sure:

1. Solanum tuberosum = potato
2. Camellia sinensis = tea
3. Solanum lycopersicum = tomato (yep for long it was thought to be poisonous in Britain and America - I had to look up the story of Colonel Johnson though)
4. Coffea arabica = Coffee of course!
5. Datura stramonium = Jimsonweed as Dmitri said and there are STILL people who eat it. We call it 'malpitte' ('crazy seeds') over here.
6. Oryza sativa = rice
7. Arachis hypogaea = peanut
8. Amanita phalloides = deathcap toadstool (not a plant actually)
9. Theobroma cacao = cocoa bean tree
10. Allium cepa = onion
