Do you like flowers with your lobster? Does your lobster like flowers?
The Surreal American Townscape
We know what you're thinking. What a pretty town. That's what the wonderful Carol M Highsmith told the Library of Congress in 2010. This town is nice. It has flowers on every corner in summer.
That's pronounced 'coh-nah', if we know our Gulf Southern. After all Fairhope, Alabama, is on Mobile (pronounced 'MOH-beel', you Brits) Bay.That's part of the Gulf Coast. (Pronounced 'Guff', y'all.).
We adore Carol M Highsmith. She is a great photographer with a real eye for Americana. Her next photo of Fairhope proves this.
Amazing. Simply amazing.
Fairhope is, indeed, as Highsmith says, 'a beautiful town'. With flowers on every corner. Also with a decorative lobster. It adds a colourful touch, don't you think?
How do you decorate in summer? Perhaps you should consider a seafood-themed garden gnome arrangement.
