A Conversation for Flash Gordon - the 1980 Film

Despite the strong hint that Ming survived the end of the first film, there was no sequel. The death of the Master in "Last Of The Timelords" seems to pay homage to this moment, when John simm's ring survives the funeral pyre.

I remember seeing this film in the cinema, having gone there with a bunch of friends and a very low expectation. I thought at the time it was a brilliant, camp blast, although I don't think I actually ever need to watch it again. I do have the Queen album.
